Those Americans who shake their heads over Britain’s difficulties with Islamism and congratulate themselves on not living in Europe had better take a closer look at their own country. This is what happened to the Islam scholar (and bester of Ken Livingstone) Daniel Pipes this week when he tried to address a meeting at the University of California–Irvine.

At one point, at 12:00, the leader predicts that ‘it’s just a matter of time before the State of Israel will be wiped off the face of the map,’ in response to which the crowd, self-exiled, standing in the dark and the cold, yelled out ‘Takbir’ and ‘Allahu Akbar.’ In response, those who remained in the auditorium chanted ‘Am Yisrael Chai.’

America has a major problem with its universities, an alarming number of which have turned into temples of hatred and bigotry.
