Is this how a Labour MP should behave?

This is what passes for reasoned discourse by a Labour MP. Responding to a vicious Tweet that suggested if I wasn’t writing for a newspaper and 'talking to people in the street' (sic) I 'would be sectioned' Barry Gardiner, MP for Brent North and Ed Miliband’s ‘Special Envoy for Climate Change and the Environment’, appeared to concur and added for good measure:
'Or punched!'
Gardiner would thus seem to have at least condoned and maybe even incited violence against me on the grounds that he believes I am insane. I await his explanation.
