A poll conducted by the American Anti-Defamation League suggests that antisemitism has declined slightly in a number of European countries in the past two years. Respondents were asked if they agreed with statements such as 'Jews have to much power in the business world' and 'Jews are more willing than others to use shady practices to get what they want.'
According to this index, antisemitism went up in only two of the countries surveyed, one of which sustained a leap three times as large as the other (the Netherlands). Guess which one? Yup. Britain. Up from 18 to 24 per cent, putting it fourth in the league table of antisemitic nations behind Germany, Belgium and France.
If this poll means anything, it is surely that while in Europe the explosion of Jew hatred has to some extent at least been noticed, acknowledged and discussed, in Britain it is still stoutly denied and anyone who raises it is dismissed as extreme, unbalanced, a Sharon propagandist or just a Jew. QED. So while Europe is still much worse, at least the tide of filth seems to have receded a fraction; but in dear old Britain, cradle of tolerance and all that, the waves are still getting higher and higher.
