The Palestinian Authority's security chief Jibril Rajoub has called on the Arabs to mount a co-oordinated resistance to the Americans in Iraq. At the same time, Yasser Arafat has gained control over PA security, making Ahmed Qureia even more of a puppet than he was already, and using the second PA prime minister to demonstrate that the prospect of the PA turning away from terror is a non-starter.

Question: Why is the US continuing to pay the PA some $100 million per year, only for it to promote and support war by terrorism against Israel and the US? Why, for that matter, is Israel itself paying the PA even more than that amount -- as was agreed under Oslo -- for the privilege of having its own citizens murdered?

Don't you guys remember the big stink while Israel held back the money from taxes they collected for the PA, under the Oslo accords.
At the time Solana, Prodi, Patten were doing their nut.
And then as a CONFIDENCE building measure to get the Roadmap off the ground Israel gave the PA the funds.
Surely you have not forgotten Colin and the other THREE (EU, UN & Putin) during the first days of the HUDNA?
This is the century of the sound bite where every sound is too short to be remembered.
I suppose after last night's 60 minutes a lot more Americans will be asking just that.
When are the Europeans going to ask why the EU gives Arafat 30 million Euros a month to keep the "services" going and still continues with all those loans they started to celebrate Oslo

Why?
Because they don't know how to go to the next stage.
Reason
The Muslims don't want peace and never have, the Muslims want to own Jerusalem and all the lands they once occupied.
read their book.
I'm not speaking about the Arabs here as some Arabs aren't Muslim.

Here's a little story,
If a man and his cousins came to your house when you were moving in and tried to kill you and throw your body into the sea, but you beat him off by the skin of your nose.
and what if

this happened again and again each decade, all the while he wrote in his own language that you and your children were less than human and deserved to die.

then after the 4th time you gave him and his mates who joined him such a bloddy nose that they went away with their tails between their legs and thought up another strategy.

They got a whole bunch of people who secretly hated you to agree with him and pressure you into givng up your security bit by bit.
All the while reviling you and castigating you (politely) if you didn't do what they wanted.
Making up the history that made out you had no right to the land where you were, that it belonged to the first man and his cousins.
Even ignoring their own historical documents to keep the lie alive.

In all this time the first man kept attacking you and killing your family members and the cousins and the others kept lip service to his perfidy.
but chastised you when you dealt to the first man.
Whilst funding his attacks against you hidden in humanitarian guise.

What would you do if you were the first man?

Get Real
They, the UN EU US can do nothing, for until the Muslims recognise Israel fully and stops attacking her there is no way forward.
That is not going to happen. Use your common sense or read the Arab newspapers in their own language.
go to their schools and listen to their preschool and primary classes.

Stop pussy footing around and face the reality of this situation.
As long as Israel is a state she will be attacked both from within and without.

and I won't mention the 000,000's of Jews forced out of the Arab countries since 1948 who are forgotton, they also had to lose everything though we only hear of the Palestinians in the western press.

Why is the EU and US paying for this?
The world needs a scapecoat for then people won't have to look at themselves or what they themselves do.
And we wonder why our young people are disallusioned.

I just cannot understand why the US doesn't treat the Muslim world like a bloc aka Cold War style. If we stopped buying their oil and refused to trade with them they'd be buggered in three weeks.

Treating people honestly would help, if you or I committed, financed or aided terrorism we would be up against it.
Not the saudis nor arafat who has assisted in killing more americans around the world than anyone.
The saudis haven't exactly aided the US in it's war but are not being held to account.
it's a strange situation.
