I'm grateful to the informative website Dhimmiwatch for the following dismaying evidence of the march of the totalitarian victim culture across Europe. Norway's minister for local government Erna Solberg has been warned by no less a figure than the Bishop of Oslo for stigmatising Islam. Her crime? Well, she had the temerity to say last week that Muslims in Norway must accept they were a minority in a progressive, egalitarian society. For these and other similar views, she has received death threats. Another fine victory for the multiculturalists -- and how telling that a Bishop is on his knees before that particular shrine.

The Scandinavians are a lost cause. They are either defeatist appeasers or neo-Nazi supremacists, with nothing in between.Let's hope that in time the two sides of this worthless coin cancel out one another.

The 'progressive' rank and file who censure traditional and evangelical Christian beliefs are the very same people who go ape whenever somebody criticizes corresponding Islamic beliefs.

These are very strange times.

Sounds like Erna Solberg was saying the type of thing that Pim Fortijn was saying. There is an explosive situation building up in some European cities (particularly, in my view, in the NL and Belgium) where the (normally very careful) comments of people like Solberg and Fortijn have been taken out of context and condemmed for being racist of islamophobic when what they are in fact saying makes complete sense. If the British think they have problems in their northern cities, they should visit Antwerp in Belgium: home to Belgium's biggest Jewish community, a large Muslim community and the fast-growing extreme right-wing party, Vlaams Blok (which took 37% of the vote in the last municipal election). Q: Why exactly does Vlaams Blok do so well? A: because the established socialist, christian democrat and liberal parties fail to deal effectively with the concerns of the (largely) working class voters who feel abandoned by these politicians (who live in the nicer parts of the city) who have failed for years to improve services, cut crime etc and who turn a blind eye to the problems caused by some immigrants who do not share the values of liberal democracy.
