The BBC did in fact run a report of the Pipes/Livingstone debate (now available on YouTube).
In Arabic.
That’s right. A debate conducted in London in the English language about whether or not there was a clash of civilisations between the Arab/Muslim world and the west was reported by BBC Online only in Arabic. There was no report in English for British licence-fee payers and BBC Online’s English-speaking readers round the world.
Why not? And what did this Arabic report actually say? Translation, please.
